Cove Caramel

Mary Ellen dreamed of starting a business selling her delightfully decadent caramels to the world. So she left her career in accounting to venture out and start Cove Caramel. The name encompasses the mission of cleaning up the local waters near their Connecticut home where there are many small coves along the shoreline. Collaboration with Alice Coxe Design

Collaborating with Betsy Simmons Fraser Creative and Alice Coxe Design, Mary Ellen wanted to integrate her product’s place of origin and shoreline mission into the brand. The logo she had been working with needed a bolder presence and a richer story. We developed a tag line that tied the water theme directly to the goodness of the caramels so that the origin, mission and product were all linked for a more cohesive brand story. The details of the logo fully support this concept with the water ripples, the peeking seashells and the type that looks like it is made of caramel. We also created complimentary ribbon and flavor stickers.
